Budding Artists at the FMAAA Art Center during January
The FMAAA Art Center, along with sponsor Melissa Derr of Edward Jones, is pleased to once again host our annual exhibition of the region’s youngest artists. The Budding Artist Show is everyone’s favorite exhibit, displaying artwork from grades K – 8th for the month of January. The Community is invited to the Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, January 10 from 1pm to 4pm to celebrate with the young artists, their friends and families with cookies and other treats.
This year’s event will feature young artists from Fort Madison Elementary and Middle Schools, Holy Trinity, Central Lee, and Nauvoo / Colusa. The FMAAA is very excited to be able to include the schools from our region. Grades K through 6 will be displayed in the Main Gallery with the Mini Gallery being devoted to the Middle School age artwork. The student artwork will be on display from January 8 through Saturday, January 31, 2026
The FMAAA Art Center thanks the Art Educators from our area schools for all of their time and the effort they put into developing such fine arts programs for our youth. We are excited to display the artwork created by their students that they work so hard to get to us for this event. This happens during one of the busiest parts of the school year and they still come through like the champions they are. We also thank our sponsor, Melissa Derr and her Edward Jones office. Sponsors help to make it possible for the FMAAA Art Center to put on monthly art exhibitions for our community, including the two annual shows held for our area youth.
