Member Show and Member MINIs for December at the FMAAA Art Center

Everyone is invited to the FMAAA Art Center for the festivities on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 5pm-7pm when the Annual Member Show opens. The Member MINIs show is also available for viewing in the Pop-up Gallery, along with the many fine arts or finely crafted items in the Member’s Gallery. Enjoy some delicious hors d’oeuvres and cheerful beverages while you take in the show that really highlights the amazing talent of our many member artists. Teri Welbourne will be playing piano, making the occasion even more special. Her piano sets of everyone’s favorites are an excellent backdrop for the occasion. The FMAAA Art Center is located at 825 Avenue G in Fort Madison with street parking available on Ave G and the adjacent 9th Street. The exhibition will be on display in the Main Gallery Tuesday, December 9 through Saturday, January 3, 2026.

The December Member Show is an annual event to showcase the variety of artwork and artists who are members of the Fort Madison Area Arts Association (FMAAA). We have some fantastic artists and December is traditionally our month to shine as we share their work with the community. All artwork submitted by 5pm on Saturday, December 6 will be eligible for consideration by our panel of judges who select top artwork pieces from among: 2D artwork on paper, 2D artwork, photography, and 3D artwork, along with the overall Best of Show. These winners will be announced at approximately 6pm during the Opening Reception on December 11.

The Member MINIs show was introduced just a few years ago to provide Members an addition chance to showcase artwork for sale – in this case small format work. Member artists can display two pieces sized at approximately eight inches, creating a display of many unique items including books by local authors, fiber art, glass, and many creative or traditional forms of art.

The FMAAA Art Center thanks Rebecca Williamson of Cambre House and Farm Event Facility for once again generously sponsoring this exhibition. Sponsorship defrays the costs and makes so much possible at the FMAAA. Members of the greater Fort Madison area community are asked to please consider having their business (or to ask employers) sponsor a monthly exhibition or event for 2026.
