September: Iowa Artists Traveling Show called Art HOP group exhibition and a mini Village Art exhibition in the POP-UP Gallery

FMAAA Art Center to host Art HOP of Southeast Iowa and another version of Village Art in September

The Southeast Iowa Art HOP is at the FMAAA Art Center in Fort Madison and Art Domestique in Washington, Iowa with this exhibitions being held across both of these two galleries in South Eastern Iowa.. The art is submitted from members of the Iowa Artists Association. Patrons will be encouraged to visit both galleries in September for a Gallery Art Hop to see the beautiful artwork produced by artists from throughout the state of Iowa. Viewers will recieve a punch card to verify attendance at both galleries, which will then be entered into a drawing for a prize! Art Domestique is located at 118 South Iowa Avenue, Washington, Iowa and FMAAA Art Center located at 825 Avenue G in Fort Madison, Iowa.

The Opening Reception for the Art HOP exhibition in Fort Madison will be on Thursday, September 5 from 5pm to 7pm in the Main Gallery at the FMAAA Art Center. Everyone is welcome to attend this event to meet the artists and take in their spectacular work. Refreshments are provided.

The Art Hop is a great opportunity that showcases Iowa Artists and the work of these really talented individuals. The partnering galleries are excited to work with the Iowa Artists Association to host this event, and looking forward to sharing the work with their members and the larger community. Everyone, including Iowa Artists members participating in the exhibition, are allowed to have their card punched for the chance to win a prize for this Art Hop.

Also on display in September at the FMAAA Gallery is an updated version of Village Art, an exhibit that showcases work for the local Mexican community with visual highlights that have flavored the heritage of Fort Madison for generations. This mini exhibition will be on display in September 1 – 21 to coincide with Rodeo and the Mexican Fiesta and will once again feature work from artists who can trace their lineage to the Village.
